Vanessa Destime
Of Counsel
Vanessa Destime serves as Of Counsel to the firm. She brings a breadth of experience in federal and state court matters. Her practice focuses on breach of contract claims, commercial business disputes, and entertainment litigation. A fluent speaker of Haitian Kreyol, Vanessa is a trusted advocate for a diverse client base.
Prior to joining Alisme Law, Vanessa completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Michael W. Reed of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. She began her career at Eisner, LLP, where she litigated complex business and contract matters.
Vanessa earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she stood out as a competitor on the Mid-Atlantic Thurgood Marshall National Trial Team, earning the second-highest national score and being named Best Advocate of the Year in 2016. During law school, she also served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy and clerked with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.
Her leadership and legal excellence have earned her recognition by the National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division with the Chairman’s Award for Leadership Excellence (2020) and inclusion in the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 (2021).
